Attention:

Ada and Canyon County Emissions Testing Programs Terminated on July 1, 2023.

There are no emission testing stations operating anywhere in Ada County because emission testing is no longer required.

If you previously received a postcard notifying you of the test requirement, you may disregard it, even if the testing due date was before July 1, 2023; emission testing is no longer required for any vehicles registered in Ada County. You are not required to test. If you received a letter that your registration had been revoked due to failure to comply with emission testing requirements, your registration was automatically reinstated on July 1, 2023, and no further action is required of you.

If you need to renew your registration, you can do that at the Department of Motor Vehicles. You do not need an emission test to renew your registration, even if you previously failed emissions.
